Rent mobility aids
Different types of mobility aids and equipment can be rented from Straks-service at Middelfart Municipality. Rentals are also available for non-residents of the municipality. The service is only open on Tuesdays and Thurdays, but aids can be rented for up to 1 month at a time. See the leaflet for further information.
CLAY Museum of ceramics is handicap accessible and equipped with elevators. Both exhibition and café area are accessible for wheelchairs as well as disability scooters. For safety reasons, the museums asks that electric wheelchairs and scooters are driven at low speeds. The museum has a in-door wheelchair which can be borrowed - ask at the ticket sale.
Guide dogs are allowed in the museum.
There are handicap toilets in both museum buildings.

Guests in wheelchairs can bring one disability attendant free of charge.
AVENTURA - Whale Watching
The ship Aventura has an access ramp for wheelchairs, which can be used on all departures from Middelfart (please note, that the ramp can NOT be used in Fredericia). The captain needs to know in advance, please contact him as you buy the tickets.
At Fredericia Theatre, there is room for four wheelchairs by the big stage and two by the small stage. Wheelchair tickets can be purchased at email@example.com or + 45 75 92 2500. Disability attendants must have an official disability attendant pass from Danish Handicap Organisations (Danske Handicaporganisationer) or Danish union of the blind (Dansk Blindesamfund). Strib Automobile Museum
The Automobile Museum in Strib has wheelchair access and the exhibition is wheelchair-friendly.
Nature Centre Hindsgavl
The nature centre at Hindsgavl is wheelchair accessible.
Varbjerg Beach has handicap-friendly facilities including handicap toilets and paved access to the jetty, making it possible to access the water in fit-for-purpose wheelchairs.
There is a handicap bathing seat in the toilet building. The key to access the bathing seat can be borrowed at the supermarket Brugsen in Brenderup on the way to the beach.
The historical ramparts of Fredericia, can be explored in a wheelchair. While there are stairs in some places, most of the rampart's many access points are ramps. All paths and access ramps are hard gravel paths. Wheelchairs can follow the paths on both the top level of the ramparts and the lower level by the foot of the ramparts.

Psychiatric Museum at Teglgårdsparken
The psychiatric collection at Teglgårdsparken is equipped with elevator.
Madsby Activity Park
Fredericia's large activity park with free entrance is designed so that guests in wheelchairs can access anywhere in the park. Paths are either paved or hard gravel. All slopes have paved paths. The park has two handicap toilets. Non-electric wheelchairs can be brought along on the Madsby Trolley Train.
The exhibition is wheelchair accessible. The café is not wheelchair accessible, but food and drinks from the café can be served in the exhibition building upon pre-arranged request. Please contact the museum for inquiries
Østerstrand Beach and the Mermaid Flutes
The popular Blue Flag beach Østerstrand in Fredericia has several handicap-friendly facilities. Parking right by the beach and handicap toilets and café in direct connection to the parking lot. The beach is also home to the Mermaid Flutes - a unique open water swimming facility for the blind and visually impaired and others looking to swim in an enclosed environment. The bathing pier is currently undergoing renovation, but will feature wheelchair access and a ramp to enter the water.
Fredericia Swim Centre and Tropical Aqualand
The swim centre and aqualand is handicap-friendly with ramps, slip resistant flooring and two changing rooms with direct lift access to the hot water pool. There is also a lift providing access to the spa and the aqualand pool.

The Historical Miniature Town in Fredericia is wheelchair accessible and has a handicap toilet.
Tøjhuset concert venue
Every year more than 200 events and concerts take place at Tøjhuset. Tøjhuset has an elevators, no doorsteps, and handicap toilet on both floors. Disability attendants have free access to all events by the association FredericiaLive, Fredericia Jazz Club and the Blues Club Double Trouble. Free parking right by building, including 1 designated handicap spot.
Fredericia Town Museum
Fredericia Town Museum can be accessed via wheelchair ramp, however these very old buildings do have elevated doorsteps. Contact the museum for questions.
