Summer life is synonymous with beach life, and there's plenty of opportunity to enjoy that in Middelfart and Fredericia, which is characterised by its abundance of varied beaches. Denmark's most beautiful beaches tempt you with plenty of space for fun and playtime, or total relaxation. You can choose from wide white sandy beaches, narrow beaches, beaches where the water quickly becomes deep, child-friendly beaches where you can paddle far out from the beach, beaches that you can have for yourself and enjoy all on your own, or beaches that are equipped with all the facilities so you just have to pack a beach bag containing the bare essentials.
Blue Flag is a mark of quality. It is your guarantee that there are good conditions at the particular beach or harbour, and that the municipality or harbour in question is working hard to maintain an efficient and clean environment. A Blue Flag beach and harbour must e.g. be clean and well maintained, have rescue equipment, good toilet facilities, waste facilities and inform the visitors about nature and environmental conditions and the facilities available. All these conditions are designed to help you as a guest to enjoy a positive experience when you visit one of our Blue Flag beaches or harbours.
Take your dog to the beach
Dogs are very welcome on the beach in Middelfart and Fredericia, but please be aware that there are special rules during the summer months on our Blue Flag beaches. On our Blue Flag beaches listed below, you will find a link to a map showing where you can see the Blue Flag zones on our beaches. You are allowed to bring your dog to the beach, but it has to be kept outside these zones during the summer months. Although in many respects, a dog is a man's best, unfortunately not everyone is equally enthusiastic about our four-legged friends. Therefore, we encourage you to keep your dog on a lead at all times in public areas.
